Paintings, sculptures, and works on paper by 37 contemporary artists will be exhibited in the galleries of the American Academy of Arts and Letters on historic Audubon Terrace. Chosen from a pool of nearly 200 nominees submitted by the members of Arts and Letters, exhibiting artists are eligible to receive one of nine awards, which include five Arts and Letters Awards in Art, the Jacob Lawrence Award, the Gwendolyn Knight Lawrence Award, the Willard L. Metcalf Award, and the Rosenthal Family Foundation Award. Works in the exhibition are also eligible to be purchased and donated to museums across the country through our Art Purchase Fund.
