INVITATIONAL EXHIBITION OF VISUAL ARTS AT THE
AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ARTS AND LETTERS

MARCH 9 - APRIL 9, 2006

February 6, 2006 -- Work by thirty-seven contemporary artists will be on view at the American Academy of Arts and Letters galleries on historic Audubon Terrace (Broadway between 155 and 156 Streets) from Thursday, March 9 through Sunday, April 9, 2006. The participants were chosen from a pool of more than 150 contemporary artists nominated by the members of the Academy, America's most prestigious society of architects, artists, writers, and composers. A jury of Academy members will select from the exhibition to confer $210,000 in cash prizes.
