Paintings, photographs, sculptures, installations, and works on paper by 37 contemporary artists will be on view at the galleries of the American Academy of Arts and Letters from Thursday, March 11, through Sunday, April 11, 2010.

Exhibiting artists were chosen from a pool of 175 artists nominated by members of the Academy. Participating artists are eligible to have paintings or works on paper purchased and donated to an American museum through the Academy's Hassam, Speicher, Betts, and Symons Purchase Fund, or to receive one of eight awards, which include five Academy Awards in Art, the Jimmy Ernst Award, the Willard L. Metcalf Award, and the Rosenthal Family Foundation Award. More information about these awards can be found here.
