Paintings, photographs, sculptures, installations, and works on paper by 30 contemporary artists will be on view at the galleries of the American Academy of Arts and Letters from Thursday, March 12, through Sunday, April 5, 2009.

Exhibiting artists were chosen from a pool of more than 170 artists nominated by members of the Academy. Participating artists are eligible to have paintings or works on paper purchased and donated to an American museum through the Academy's Hassam, Speicher, Betts, and Symons Purchase Fund, or to receive one of eight awards, which include five Academy Awards in Art, the Jimmy Ernst Award, the John Koch Award, and the Rosenthal Family Foundation Award.
